Hey! I gotta catch up with everyone! I'm officially on spring break right now and holy wow, I've missed all my HSO people! Nursing school is kicking my butt! How's everyone been? Any good fishing stories or pics? I haven't been on the ice ONCE this year and would love to hear 'em! Ice Fishing at The Leading Edge
I think, unless we get some SERIOUS snow, people are going to be driving pickups out on Burntside for opener. There was a solid foot of ice on Shag today, and only an inch of snow or less on the ice, and Bside only froze over a couple days after Shag did. With so little snow cover, we're making ice 24/7 even when lows are in the single digits and highs in the 20s, and we're cooling down again the next several days. Af course, opener is nearly a month away, and a lot of snow can fall in a month. I'm actually hoping we get enough snow to make truck travel harder before opener. Cuts down on the traffic.
